Open Mic

Hosting open mics are a great way to dig into your community roots and bring people together through the power of music! Open mics can be hosted just about anywhere, and with our hosting experience, you will see new faces that become regulars.

Venue

We can setup a performance area just about anywhere! Floor level, in a corner, on a stage or outside. We position the speakers so that guests can hear the music clearly and provide a monitor for the performer so they get instant feedback.

Host

With over 15 years of hosting experience, we can assure you that your open mic will be great. We use clear communication with the venue and performers from start to finish so your guests are sure to have a great experience.

How it Works

Horty Music works with venues and hosts to create memorable open mic events. Once a venue and host has been paired and the event dates set, the open mic host will do the following;

1. Setup30 minutes prior to the first performance.

2. Communicate with musicians to set expectations such as how many songs they can play, a time limit and if there are any special requests.

3. Host will adjust the volume, equalizer, gain and other settings for each performer.

4. Host will provide announcements before, inbetween performances and after the event as needed.
